Your opinions on debating

When I say debates, I am not referring to arguments, but civilized, mature debates with education facts to back up your debate.

How do you feel about them, I personally love them. I am a very open person, but being open minded I am susceptible to wide, detailed points in my arguments. I love them because it always has more than another person, and people tend to link to documents, studies, ect. for their side, so not only do you get to prove your point, but you find out why they feel that way for their side. I find that I tend to learn more in a debate then I would on the same topic in the educational system.

What are your opinions on this?

Arguing with others is always fun. I rarely get involved in debates though. However, hen I do get involved in a debate, I usually look at the more popular opinion and go against it just to stir (curse word here) up. Tons of fun, and most people go from debating to a form of mild savagery.

All in all, you can say I love debating. I even hope to one day be a master debater.

I'd argue that you're wrong but I'm not sure whether it's okay to argue. I'll have to wait to argue until they argue this one out.

A debate is an argument, "when I say debate, I don't mean an argument", whether or not it's educated and has facts. You can solely base a debate on opinion and not facts.

Just my 2 cents. Oh yes, it's my opinion and I am arguing/debating over it. 😛

I do not mind debates, although I do not care too much care for debates on homosexuality.. because I know that somewhere along the line there will be an anti gay person that will say something I find offensive.

Having a debate about whether or not homosexuality is immoral is about the same as having a debate about whether or not breathing oxygen is immoral. Homosexuals have the same amount of choice about being homosexual as oxygen-breathers have about breathing oxygen.
