Your suggestions please, for forum titles on business forum

Hi,

The two main categories on my business forum currently look like this;

Business Advice & Business Questions
Free Business Advice & New Business Ideas
Sales, Marketing, Publicity & Copywriting
Innovative Business Start-Ups & Websites
Current Affairs and Business News

Online Business Forums
Online Marketing, Promotion, Advertising & SEO
Website Development, E-Commerce & Making Money Online
Graphic & Website Reviews


I'm considering merging those two categories into a single category and changing some of the forum titles as follows;

Business Advice, Business Questions & Online Business Forums
Free Business Advice & New Business Ideas
Sales, Marketing, Publicity & Copywriting
Online Marketing, SEO & Making Money Online
IT, Internet, Website Development & E-Commerce
Graphic & Website Reviews
Articles & Tutorials (with sub forums; Business Articles, Internet and Web Dev Tutorials, Personal Success Articles)
Current Affairs and Business News (with sub-forum Innovative Business Start-Ups & Websites)

What do you think of the proposed new structure? Is it better than the current structure? Have you any suggestions for improving it?

While I am all for streamlining a forums categories(although I can't say I practice it very well) I would be worried about the current format and what people are used to. From your layout it looks excellent and well thought out. Although I wouldn't expect much less from you. However I would be careful with big changes like that with an established forum.

On the other hand your forum does seem to be populated by many professionals so I think that call would be up to you. In the end the category changes look good 🙂

Are you referring to the old or new layout?

Why would you be concerned about a layout change? Do you feel that it could confuse members?

Referring to how you laid it out thoroughly in your above post. My concern would be the way people get "used" to stuff. Change for us although sometimes necessary is still hard for a lot to get used to.

Thanks Sshadow, I'll consider making the changes slowly, rather than all at once.

Anyone else have any suggestions or feedback?
