Your thoughts on Homosexuality?

There are a few at my school as well. It does not bother me but I never pay any attention to them anyway.

Mine make it rather hard to ignore. They always prance around and "show their stuff" even when they have none to show? It just makes me mad is all -evil-

The one's at my school have very annoying voices. ~lol~

I feel like I, as a bi guy, need to toss in my two cents. I took the time to read just about every post here and I'm not offended at all. In fact, I agree with just about everything said here.

It does seem like being a homosexual has become a trend. It's rather pitiful actually. Anyone who has to pretend to be something they're not with regards to 'fitting in' should be pitied.

But here's my shpeal: I personally believe that there are 3 types of 'gay' men and women.

1: Men and Women who are sexually attracted to members of the opposite sex but choose to title themselves as homosexuals for a variety of reasons.

2: Men and Women who have been born with a mental 'defect', if you will, where they are neurologically programmed to find members of their own gender sexually arousing. This defect can be seen in bisexuals, gays, and lesbians. The invert of this complex would be the A-sexual who feels no attraction to anyone.

3: Men and Women who have experienced something in their life that have psychologically disturbed them. I think a certain combination of circumstances may determine one's sexual preference. Do not interpret disturbed as a bad experience such a rape or abuse. Those may be causes for this type of homosexual, but good scenarios may influence a person's sexual preference. I'll use my scenario as an example. I grew up without a father and my mom worked full time. I was always alone at home. I matured early and became very aware about the world. I knew 'Mommy' wasn't around because she had priorities like work which, in tern, kept me fed. I was so proud of her that as a 12 year old, I idolized her. She was my hero. I wanted to grow up and be just like her, work in the same place as her, do everything she did. So, by the time I had hit puberty I, subconsciously became partially my mother. It was disturbing. We acted identically, did things in a similar fashion, and I think because of this comparison, we even shared the same sexual preference. I watched her bring home a variety of guys into the house, and it was just natural to assume that dating men was the thing to do since my mom was doing it. I have another theory as to why I'm gay, but I don't like telling it and this is already getting too long.

But at any rate, I hope people don't discriminate against gays for simply being unique or different. Sure, some gay guys are effeminate, assholes, and cross dressers. But heterosexuals can be the same way. We're all equals with unique qualities and different personalities.

And I just wanted to agree with the point that someone made about disliking gays with high pitched voices. They make me mad... XD

Why should they have to keep it a secret? Like it's a terrible thing and has to be hidden? Love is love, take it or leave it.

Homosexuality, not for me but to each his own... As far as whether or not they choose to be gay, I will have to take their word for it that they are born that way because I have never been in their shoes and am not an authority.

There's nothing wrong with homosexuality or homosexuals wishing to marry. It's plain hate to not allow them to get married, or try to restrict their freedoms.

Homosexuality? If they fall in love with a guy they fall in love with a guy. I'm happy for them.

As for them hitting on me, if they do so in a polite way then I'll be fine with it. If they do it in an inappropriate way, much like with girls and guys, I won't be happy about it at the very least.

But it's funny, I don't see why so many men think homosexuals would be attracted to them.

They just want to be noticed. Ive got one like that at my school, I dont even think hes really gay as ive seen him checking out girls...

Hes just doing it doing it so people will talk about him and he can get his 15min of fame.

I wouldn't say that. Homosexuality isn't an either/or thing. According to the Kinsey scale, there are many points in between.

You have excellent aim with a hammer.

I am Bi so.. I have no problem at all with gays, lesbians, and other bis such as myself.

As many others have said, there's nothing wrong with gays, lesbians, bi's as long as they don't involve me in their affairs. It's their choices to go out with whomever they want to. Still, there are many people in today's age who view it as the worst thing to happen to a person, even though such behaviour is evident in animals as well.

Again, I don't care, as long as I'm not involved.

I don't really mind any people admiring the same sex as themselves, just that they keep it to themselves. I, like others, don't wish to get involved, if all this is the case, then I certainly have no problems with gayness. I am all up for people expressing themselves and being proud of who they are, even if their friends/family don't agree.

Homosexuality is bad, it's bad for our economy.

1. Because they didn't have a baby they didn't pay for any medical expenses.
2. Also, because they didn't have a baby they never pay for their child's clothing, nor their food and life long things.

But.. there's a good side.

1. Gay people make good music, not saying only gay people do.. but some do.
2. Lowers the population.
3. Theirs less traffic on streets.

That's probably one of the worst arguments for good side and bad side I've ever heard.

Ignorant -!-

Posts like that add nothing to this thread and debate, please be a bit more mature.

I have no problem with gays, bi's or lesbians. There all human beings who should be treated the same.

I agree with Traygon; it doesn't really matter as long as you are not involved. I also feel that if someone loves each other, then they should be with person. I don't really care.

However, Jasonp makes a good point in his post :

Overall, it doesn't really matter. I'm not gay or bi, but I do feel that anyone should be with the person that they love. If straights are allowed to be with the person they love, then what does it matter with gays? We are all human, and that's the point. However, I don't know about gay sex- there's no real point in it if you can't get what you are wanting: a baby. Yeah, sex is all about love, but still, there's no point in it if there's a gay couple involved. It's a bit inhumane. But still, people have their own rights and ways to look at the world, so that is just my opinion.

I honestly don't think twice about the issue, that is between you and your God.

Now were I do get pissy, is when people start shoving that crap down my throat. The idea of pushing that crap on our kids (California School system for example) is child abuse in my opinion. I don't care if you think you was born gay or you became gay. This country (United States) was founded on the basic Christian beliefs.

Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I have loads of friends who are gay/bisexual. I actually think that gay or bisexual people are nicer. 😛

I do understand why people are against them though.
