What are your thoughts on seeing the same holiday themes at the forums you visit?

Lazy. I used to have my own custom one on Zetaboards but haven't had time to convert it. Forums with custom made themes are more impressive IMO.

Boring. I love to see the custom themes that are unique. Show me that the owner put some effort and thought into it.

I feel that those who tend to use the same theme for the holiday season tend to be lazy. I always like to see a unique theme for each different site I use.

There are so many different ways you could customize your forum for the holidays, it just takes a little brainstorming 🙂

I think they shouldn't deal with seasonal themes at all. Just keep it simple, keep it safe by leaving the default custom themes in place.
