Your views on buying paid software vs using free software?

I rarely buy paid software if there is a free alternative which is almost as good or better then the paid software competitor, or the free version or free software competitors have the features I use.

I mostly only buy paid computer game software since in many cases, there are no or very few free computer games which are as good as paid games like MineCraft, Warcraft 3, Age of Empires, etc.

I think free software is great and very affordable while paid software is too expensive in many cases for me.

I like using XenForo, vB and IPB. Mostly XenForo. But they are quality softwares but then again so is phpBB and myBB. I think that the reason I like XenForo the most is because of the themes and the feel of it.

Sadly I can't play Minecraft because my computer sucks s*** and does not have a good graphics card.

Paid software such as IPB and vBulletin is (IMO) 10x better than any free software. Not only does it have more of a professional look and feel to it, but it is unique in so many ways.

The way I see it, free software can be just as powerful as paid software in my opinion.

Sorry sir. This is a false statement. I have to say that the best one is XenForo.

It's called opinion, not sure how that can be a false statement.

XenForo? I think 99% of the forum would say vB is better.

I beg to differ, i moved off that iron clad of a forum software to xF and have nothing but good things to say. XenForo is better than vbulletin.

VB sucks 🙁 XENFORO rocks and I would be willing to say that 75 percent of the community would say XF is much better. IPB is just as good as XF and probably 85 percent of the community would say IPB is better IMO.
