If you get caught stealing from your employer, it should be the employer's choice whether or not to fire you.

Yeah, I'm hardly going to fire someone from a job I have nothing to do with. 😛

I think theyre rather stupid especially stealing computer equipment and more expensive things or even money. As for pencils and staplers and things like those, I dont think bad of the people that do it, I wouldnt do it myself though.

Why though? That's not your property, that's your office property.

Especially people with government jobs doing it. That's tax payer money you're taking 😛

I heard on the news I think it was CNN or CNN that in the past government workers use gov. credit cards for personal use like buying sexy under wear for their wife which sounds like not a good use of tax money.

Yeah. Employers can't reasonably expect that one hundred percent of the company printer usage will be for business reasons any more than they can expect that people will only use the phones to make business calls. 😉

Most companies and jobs allow personal phone use. As for using a printer, that's not really a big deal, I'm not saying it's right, but it's not that big of a deal compared to what other people do. Actually taking stuff from the office for your home use like staplers and such is really taking it too far though.

Stealing is against the law, but be reasonable with it. If I steal 1 dollar, you wouldn't fine me would you, you would ask me to give it back.
