When I was a learner administrator for a major resource forum, with very little experience of mySQL databases, I was tasked with speeding up the site.
Yep, I deleted the entire forums database not knowing what it was doing. There was no backups for some reason, and needless to say, a site that was thriving, died quite quickly.
Using Joomla 1.5 Content Management System when I could of just used a simple free HTML and CSS template for building a website with only a few pages was kind of dumb since Joomla can be somewhat confusing and time consuming to learn.
Choosing a free host rather than paying for hosting. Slow response times and unreliability to name a few of the problems! Not to mention, I ended up losing all that I had worked on D:
Today, I brought from a site with bad reputation. Spent the whole day trying to find a particular rc plane from U.K and U.S sites but all were out of stock.
Found a site from a Chinese seller, emailed the owner to see if it was in stock and it was. There was nothing to suggest this site isn't genuine so I brought the product. Googled the site after paying and disaster struck. Many, many negative comments about the site including product not showing up, very long delivery time, poor quality etc. Had to ring paypal to cancel order but they said I have to wait a month to see if I actually receive it.
I really hope I do get it eventually, been looking for about a week with U.K sites giving quotes of up to 8 weeks until it becomes next available.
I have never brought from a bad seller, so I'll be careful next time. It looks like I'm going to either receive it or get my money back.
