Your Forum Review

First Impressions & Appearance - (Out of 20)

So far, your forum looks really good at a first glance, upon arrival. The Banner is really good, too. I think it sets off the perfect environment for what your forum is about. But, that being said, I really do think the holding hands image is a little "too cliched"; and may just not be needed.

The skin/template used is a very pleasing set up. Eevrything really srands out, and is very easy on the eyes. And I really appreciate the fact you didn't over do it with a ton of excessive boards. Unless I'm limited to only a certain number of boards as a guests?

One thing that really doesn't work, are the Board icons. The big blue buttons just really feel out of place, and like they were just added; cause you needed some buttons, but didn't put much though into them. The only thing they match; is the color of registered users names. And I'm sure that was accidental. Try and find some; or have some made, here; that better match the theme and look of your forum.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)

I honestly have no objections to your forum board layout. This is mostly because there aren't many to judge the structure by; which is good. Your top category is perfect; always the way i like them to be, and how they should be set up.

Seems you've got the Help section with good sections on different subject material. But, I honestly think the Getting Serious board is uneeded. Getting amrried can go under Love; and moving can go under general; as I'm sure you're not gonna get a spluge of member activity talking about moving everyday. Plus, if you look over the board description; it's some some bad grammar throughout both sentences.

And the off-topic section seems intact. But, you may want to add some other boards. Since Teens seem to be the target; have other things for Teens to chat about, without worrying about help and pressure. Like video games, art, writing, sports, and other similar activities.

Statistics and Activity - (Out of 20)

For almost 3 months, I wouldn't say the forum is off to a great start; but the following paragraphs should help you get something going in the right direction. Also,

What does concern me; are the empty boards, and are they really necessary? If so, then maybe you guys need to get some topics going. If you're really there to help, then give new members an idea what to expect. I could sign up right now, and probably ask about 20 different questions, in 20 different topics, in each Help board; so new members could have something easy to reply in, and get more confortable with the forum.

It's your forum, you should know what needs to be asked. Alot of new members, especially on a forum as yours, are shy; and don't know how to make the first steps. Go ahead and have some basic/generic questions ready when they arrive.

Like under the Teen section. Ask questions about Do you feel pressure from friends on drugs, sex, and alcohol? Do your friends smoke, and does it bother you? What is your worst subject in school? Are you bullied at school? Do you envy a student at your school? Do you get depressed easy?

Like i said. Easy questions. And I got plenty more. So you should have dozens you can come up with, as well.

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)

So far, all i can find is you as the admin. Which seems like a good choice to go at it alone for now. But, don't over work yourself. It's always good to have at least one mod when getting the forum going; especially hwlping you welcome new members and helping with fresh and new daily topics for the forum.

Just keep an eye out on your members, see who post around; and actually gets involved with the forum, and the community.

Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism - (Out of 20)

Already pointed out some grammar mistakes, and have spotted a few others. I will underline what needs to be added, changed, or spelled correctly.

General Problems :: Talk about problems in your life that doesn't fit in any other category. <--- and periods are also very important; especially when your forum wants to be as professional as possible.

Adult Problems ::: Facing problems in your job or your kids giving you a hard time? Post it here and we will help.

Teen Troubles ( this ones pretty bad) Are you a teen and facing troubles in school? Having problems with your fellow peers? Do your parents not understand you? Post here and we can give you some great advices.

And, I'd also like to add, that the new members introductions board is very voring, and less inviting. Try and make it sound worthwile for members to introduce themselves. Just add some kinda charcter to that description, like you're really talking to the ready; and not some computer program saying "Introduce yourself here!"

Final Remarks:

What was most liked about the website/forums:

The look, and the subject theme. Not many forums i see like this around much. Thye're out there, but rare in most cases.

What was disliked most about the website/forums:

The staff not having topics ready for new members in the help section. It doesn't give new members much to go by; and they won't feel comfortable making topics, and asking questions, until they test the waters.

And, too many spelling and grammar errors all across the index page. Those do need to be fixed, as soon as possible.

How could I get you (The Reviewer) to join my website?

It's really not my thing. I'm what I call a "self healer". But, I'm sure there are teens, and maybe adults, looking for an anonymous place to get their worries and problems out to someone random, and see what they feel on the situation. You just have to keep getting the word out, and reach out to those members in need.
