Would you think it be less annoying if in-video ads on YouTube are used to promote other talented YouTubers before the actual video starts?

For example, you are watching a video by Nigahiga, but before you watch a video from Nigahiga, you'll see a short video from Smosh promoting their comedy channel.

I think it still could be annoying if the in-video ads shows ads with YouTube members which I am not interested in like fashion videos when I am watching a gaming video, but it would be better than watching an ad for a exercise belt, hairloss products, etc.

How would YouTube earn money to cover server bills and pay content providers from that? Some advertisers do promote their channels though...

YouTube is doing this. They recently released something called Fan Finder, where we can advertise for free in those advertisements provided we give them a video. 😉

YouTube now has paid subscriptions to premium monthly channels, you can also now rent or buy videos from YouTube for $5 more or less in the movies section or from Google Play, and there are still regular banner image ads on the right side of the webpage.

YouTube was doing fine when they mainly had banner ads.

Umm.. who is Nigahiga and Smosh. Anyway, recently I have disable my ADBlock, and I find that those banner advertisement are great. I have a nice time watching those advertisement.

It will be more annoying if Youtube ADs was created by another Youtuber..

Nigahiga and Smosh are two of the top most subscribed Comedians on YouTube.

I think if the ad is a well made video by a YouTuber, it won't be annoying since they are trying to promote content watchers maybe interested in instead of products to buy since people go on YouTube to watch videos, and not buy products like how people watch TV for shows, and TV commercials which are used to promote other TV shows, and movies are less annoying since it provides useful content about other content to watch at different times.

If watchers learn more about outher YouTubers from Ads before the actual video, it may make YouTube earn more money from regular Banner Image Ads on the right sidebar of the video because people may spend more time on YouTube searching for the YouTuber which they learned about on the Ad. Plus, Google's stock prices will go up when people spend more time on YouTube like how Facebook's stock prices are up because it has a lot of mobile users who choose to spend more of their time on Facebook's App and mobile site with ads.
