Youtube disallowed my video

I made a short video of a cockfight - 2 cocks fighting. It is not the gory fight where cocks kill each other. It is just like a sparring session. When I uploaded it on Youtube, I got a message that it is not appropriate. When I replied with an appeal, I said that cockfighting is part of our culture and I also explained that the cocks in my video have not knife on their legs so it is just a friendly fight. Unfortunately the decision to ban my video was upheld and my video was removed.

There are videos on Youtube about real cockfights. Any ideas why I experienced a "strike" on that video?

Probably because the algorithm of YouTube. It's like lottery there these days.

I think it could be because of the word "cock" and also because it shows animal cruelty. I think you are not aware of new rules.

Anything that discriminates on the basis of race, gender, region is not allowed. And anything that is sensitive towards kids and the people is given strike.

So your case falls into second one. So it is kind of obvious to see they disallowed.

Rename it to chickens and reupload. See if that does anything. It could still be flagged by a viewer though. Nothing to prevent that.

Maybe there is logic with the word "cock" that I used. But the video was already deleted and I wouldn't dare re-upload it because the message said it is a "strike 1" already and a strike 2 may cause a suspension to my channel. If it's about animal cruelty then I guess the real cockfights would be disallowed because they were gory videos.

In reality what should be and should not be is left to the politics of each country and should not be Individual persons concern. What is culture for some may be cruelty to others.

American companies are under pressure of various cultures on being inclusive towards some rules while they have maintain the local culture standards too. Though world is being unified under globalized religions and culture that is driven and govern by tech.

We have no option than to accept what company like google forces us. I'd say you have to find other niche for youtube videos. Maybe instead of cock fight you can document poultry business or how chicken are raised and sold type of niche. I am sure that would get more ads considering this falls into business.
