Yes, it is useful to them, but a competing software could use it. Or you could use it for the ad revenue.

The only use I see for this is a support/help site. Creating another software with the same name would be 1 redundant and 2 you will have a nice lawsuit to deal with.

I would by it for no more than the price you got it for.
