Forum Pros:
- That is one cool skin. The background is really technologic looking, which goes great with the focus of your forum. The images are nice, and to be honest at first I couldn't even tell it was IPBfree. (Well until I looked at the URL.
😛) Regardless, it's cool and works well.
- You have lots of original features you wouldn't normally see. For example setting up a ning site as well was a nice idea and arcades are always fun on forums because they encourage people to visit more and compete.
- Your forum's spelling and grammar was good. I've seen that getting better on forums recently and that's really good. You had pretty much everything punctuated and spelled correctly.
- The layout of your forum was nice. Forums were arranged in a sensible manner.
- You have a good way of selecting staff. Some forums just give people jobs when they ask or rarely wait for them to be experienced. Your place to submit applications was good and ensures only good people are hired.
- The content posted on your forum was good. Some of the posts were unprofessional by your staff, but a lot wasn't and so that was good. This is especially important on tech support forums such as yours because who's going to trust people that make junky posts?
Forum Cons:
- I'm not too sure about that big banner. You already have a smaller one under it which could suffice. Plus the top one moves which can get annoying after a few minutes and opens up to reveal the same banner as below. That's a bit pointless.
- Some of your images look weird. For example, some of the emotes weren't meant to be on dark skins and have white pixels on the edge which makes for a weird appearance. Also images like this
would look better if the white pixels were removed. It would make the images look a lot cleaner and more professional.
- Your activity isn't very good. To be open two years and only have 2K posts is not good at all. Same with 90 or so members. Definitely rev up the promotion efforts.
- While having arcade trophies on topic view may seem cool, you have 20+ pages of games. That will make posts extremely stretched out if people win a lot of those trophies.
- You have a lot of staff considering you only have 2K posts. I'd stop hiring for a while. Maybe hide the staff application forum for a bit.
Final/General Thoughts: Your forum's problems are mostly graphical and could be fixed easily.
