$800 in parts later ...

I just spent $800 on new computer parts, they should be in, in a few days and I'm pretty excited about it! 😀

I ordered the following parts:

1. Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with Upgraded USB 3.0

2. EVGA 01G-P3-1460-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

3. CORSAIR HX Series HX750 (CMPSU-750HX) 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

4. CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

That looks really nice! I'm using an i5-2300 and it's great. :O I'm sure you'll be satisfied. My GPU is slightly older than yours, though, and I only have 6GB of memory.

You are correct, it acts as a quad core.

It should be dual core with four threads. Two of the cores are virtual, I think.

This is a bad buy in my opinion. I think you should have just saved your money and bought a Macintosh!

Macs are a bad choice for gaming. You can get gaming PCs much cheaper, and they can run more.

There really isn't a need for one. Or even an non-magnetized screw driver, really. As long as you're awake and use common sense, all should be good.
