This is a very sad picture and it happens all over the world. Tell us what your think about this picture here.

Thought this was the, "Intellectual" Thread. I know things like this topic can get deep but that is the point. I tend to think we ignore these type of things, if we keep saying not in my backyard then the cycle continues.

How about a picture that isn't tinted and photoshopped? A picture that is something from the camera, not messed with in photoshop.

Just kind of concerns me that a picture like that is messed with..

It's the concept of the picture, the intent is what does the concept of such a situation mean. there are thousands of pictures that are real, this is an artists depiction of what he saw on a side street.

Critical thinking goes far beyond show me this and that. Often we are only given a snapshot and are asked to come up with a position...

So, with the aforementioned what does the content of the depiction mean to you? I have been all over the world and seen this first hand. When I was younger such things did not mean much to me I tended to blow it off but now that I'm older and have my own children this has a far greater impact.

I suppose others will be far more interested in what color is the sky or what they had for lunch 🙂 I know many shy from topics like this, I used to ignore them myself, but when I saw the intellectual talk thought I would see how many would partake in a critical thinking exercise.

World Hunger, can it be resolved/how and should it be?

Let's try again:

It shall never resolve. There shall always be the rich and the poor.

The ones who have alot to trow away of food they didn't get anymore in there tummy and those who take it out of the can it is thrown in.

Impossible to get a balance in the world that everyone has equal in terms of education, food and more...

Prehaps this subject should more belong in the Debate Corner ?

It's just disappointing to see such pictures photoshopped to make it looks like a better picture.

And I agree with master. Donate what you can and when you can, I agree that the poor need things to be given to them 100%. But there will always be the rich and the poor. But we can do what we can to help them out.
