I try my best to remain true to myself whether I am interacting in person or online so I'd say the same opinions and even expressions whether in person or written. That said I write a lot better than what I speak ssinceI can think about what I am trying to communicate but I am pretty prone to rant long on either medium when it is something I like.
I am also more hesitant to start conversations in person than in forums; usually, it is other people the ones that break the ice with me. I think that is what happen with most of the friends I made through the meatspace. They all know I love Zelda and message boards so really I don't hide much.
