Admin Me or I quit!

When someone give you an ultimatum like that, it suggest that they believe that you are weak. Don't give in, next he will be demanding that you turn over the domain to him. To be honest, I wouldn't even keep him as a moderator. I have seen situations like this, and the best thing to do is not only demote him, but also ban him before he rally your own members against you.

From look at your staff updates on Wober, it looks as if you have given in. It appears that Jazzy has more support from the members than you do. Also, you have validated his belief that you are weak. Soon he will be the primary administrator, and decide who becomes moderators over you.

I never said they were a moderator. They wouldn't be a moderator much longer if they did that though.

I agree with this. If you have a moderator that is demanding admistration, or he quits, then he is just a power hungry person, and he is clearly not right for the job. The only different between moderator, and administrator, is the administration control panel.

If it was such an inconvenience they wouldn't do it in the first place. In fact, if it is such an inconvenience to be a moderator, why would someone want to be an administrator? That is even more work. When you join a forum community, you join that community because you are interested in what they have to offer. If you are chosen to be apart of the staff of that community, it is an honorable privilege. Telling the owner of that site that you better promote me or ill quit, is a outright disrespectful.

Yes it should feel like a privilege and an honor but the admin should not make his/her staff feel like they should be lucky to be on the staff in the 1st place. The admin should make his/her staff feel appreciated and valued for volunteering their time.
