Anyone Have A YouTube Channel?

YouTube has become jobs for many

It's a rather unstable job with no benefits or retirement plan. It would be foolish for someone to rely on YouTube as their main source of income since the cash flow could potentially dry up and end one day without any notice. If that were to happen, hopefully they have a backup plan in place. Otherwise one day when you see a homeless person begging for change, it could be an ex-YouTube star.

YouTube is owned by one of the richest companies in the world "Google". When you make a video the video will continue to earn even after that YouTuber has stopped. You can still earn through your channel.

Oh yeah? What obligates them to pay everyone? They could decide to cut everyone off or severely reduce the payout rates if that's what the board members and shareholders decide one day. YouTube actually costs google money and isn't profitable for them at this point in time.

Well, they can't just stop! it did once cost google money but with the addition of YouTube Red and new methods of payment, it has been equalled out. I really doubt that Google will shut down a part of their site. one which many would try to restore.

I have one but I don't use it. I used to post singing videos when I was like 10. xD I deleted those. 😛

I do, for our site. We have horror movie trailers, clips and exclusive content that we debut there. Once our new site is constructed and launched, we are going to move into original animated horror series. Which I am now contemplating heavily with YouTube's insane new monetizing rules. People who have content that could be considered as 'graphic' on Youtube, established users and channels? Are having their content de-monetized by the YouTube overlords.
