There's nothing wrong with standing in line for a phone that hasn't been announced yet. But they just look like complete idiots, if they want to do that and then get themselves put on the news they can do what they wish. I wouldn't be surprised if they began to fight among each other over line places. 😛

So Apple has just announced the iPhone 5C and 5S, what are your opinions?

My opinion on the iPhone 5S is that I am not very impressed with Apple. The changes they've made are tiny and the fingerprint reader has already been done (and didn't go very well), so there was no new uniqueness in that department. The only new thing I can see is a 64 bit OS, which to be honest regular users won't care about.

iPhone 5C looks alright but the price is outrageous. Off contract there's not much between the 5C and 5S, which makes it kinda pointless if it's supposed to be cheap.

Looks like the investors agree, Apple's stocks are going down. Ohh, and it seems as though Apple can't keep a secret anymore as we basically already knew everything they announced 😛

Compared to the S3 to the S4 and the 5 to the 5S, Samsung has smashed Apple in the innovation department.

You make a good point that some of these people waiting in line may want to be on the News, and talk to news reporters since lining up for the iPhone for days maybe their only chance of being on television and bigger online news sites in their lives, so they may get notice by a owner of a TV network which may want to hire them to talk about technology on a show if their opinions are good on the iPhone.

The changes to the iPhone 5C and 5S are small, but people upgrading from an iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4/4S will notice the improve performance, camera, design, and other features. I think fewer people who own a iPhone 5 will upgrade to the 5S since the 5 is still a pretty good phone.

Samsung maybe more innovative, but a lot of the features like NFC, Stylus pointer pens, and motion controls are not very important.

I think Xiaomi, Blu Vivo, Meizu, and other smaller Android smartphone makers will eventually take more users away from Samsung because of their better performance for a lower price compared to Samsung, and Xiaomi phones generally come with near Stock Android which does not have as much bloatware compared to Samsung which come bundles with some apps like Touchwiz, motion gestures in the S4, etc which uses up Memory and storage space which could be better used by the user for storing games, apps, or carrying files.

The iPhone 5S and 5C do look pretty nice, and the iOS7 OS looks nice without being too over whelming to use like Windows Phone, and some versions of Android.

There's absolutely no reason really if you have an iPhone 5 to upgrade, you'd just be buying a phone which is pretty much the same - which for obvious reasons is a waste of money.

That was the most disappointing product launch I've ever heard or seen about. There was absolutely nothing exciting about the iPhone 5S and this is the phone which has lacked the most innovation by Apple since they started. There's nothing groundbreaking about the iPhone 5S, it's as some people are calling it "not revolutionary."

Some innovation. Look at the Samsung Galaxy S3 and then look at the Samsung Galaxy S4, the company actually bothered to make some changes.

http://www.phonearena.com/phones/compar ... ,7710,7378 look at the comparesment in specs between those three phones. The Samsung Galaxy S4 has better specifications in every departement. Then remove the S4 and compare the iPhone 5 with iPhone 5S, there's absolutely no change in specifications apart from a new yellow colour and slightly (and I mean slightly) better battery life.

From a consumer point of view, why should I buy something which is already on the market and has specifications from phones a few years ago?

Did you even look at the new features if the 5S

I doubt it. Gold and a slightly battery life is just the little things.

iOS 7 isn't too bad, you can see where Apple got their ideas from, but it works fairly well. A lot better than iOS 6.

iOS 7 isn't too bad, you can see where Apple got their ideas from, but it works fairly well. A lot better than iOS 6.

You were using the 2 smallest changes about the phone, you didn't say "for example" and you said: "there's absolutely no change in specifications apart from a new yellow colour and slightly (and I mean slightly) better battery life."

That doesn't sound like an example to me.

To you android folks, you praise high clock speeds and more cores and lots of RAM, because you need it. Everything isn't about benchmarks.

I was very furious with your statement in the OP. What I was furious about was you saying the changes were tiny, and Samsung is smashing them in innovation. I felt like nothing Apple does is good enough for you. Fingerprint scanner will work, and not fad out like the other few devices. 64-bit A7...M7 coprocessor. Nothing Samsung has.

Your wants are unethical for Apple, as well.
