As far as I know, racism is still a problem in the States, nevermind against the blacks but also the Jews as of recent (from the shooting that happened recently). Also, Islamophobia was on the rise for a while, especially here in the UK. The hate will never end, and it's sad.

Our current president hasn't made matters any better on the race relations front. Ultimately though, people who behave in this way have anger because their own lives are not going swimmingly. Here in the states, we had a guy just shoot up a yoga studio in Florida and kill 2 or 3 people before killing himself. His background was exactly what you'd expect - he had stated angry opposition to interracial dating and had also previously lashed out at women who apparently rejected his advances. It seems a lot of the current white nationalist, supremacist ideology involves men who just can't seem to get their act together with the opposite sex. Thus, they have internalized anger and this 'white identity' movement gives them an outlet for their anger. A lot of these guys are also acolytes of the 'incel' movement.

You can find this as the motive for one Elliot Rodger - the Isla Vista killer who in 2014 killed nearly seven people and wounded countless others in his rampage. His motives were apparently anger at people of color, women who had rejected his advances and also at rival males or men who had the ability to attract women. Something Elliot was apparently lacking or felt that he just wasn't good at. His killing spree started when he murdered his 3 asian roommates.

Something Ive heard a lot, even here (and even from me, at one point in time), is "I don't want that <insert shitty retail job> here because I know a guy who applied for <insert slightly better job> so I'm gonna keep trying that".

It's like everyone forgot the golden rule, beggars can't be choosers. You can't cry victim because there are no jobs when there are plenty of jobs around but you're just "too good" for them. We've currently got that issue in my city right now and a homeless city by the name of "DisconTent City" popped up over the summer. Lots of people living there had tons of opportunity for part time work, training and resume improvement and a bit of government assisted housing(something that theyre fixing now). Nobody wanted it, they just wanted to live rent free and demanded the government do that for them because there just arent enough jobs..

... meanwhile pretty much every business is hiring right now.

When I lived in Calgary I lived near a homeless shelter. There were always beggers outside the 7-11 and everytime I turned down a beggar they'd get mad. I had to stop saying "oh sorry I don't carry cash" because they'd start asking if I could get a 20 from the ATM.

That's how these guys think, exactly. They're 'entitled' to sex from women. Some of these guys are the product of well off or upper class families and they just believe the girls should flock to them with minimal effort. The thing is, if you want a woman in your life you have to have an attractive personality, and make an effort. Men who pout when things don't go their way, make threats, or give off the 'if you break my heart I'll kill you' vibe will find their dance card to be routinely empty. These type of men also despise educated career women because the more educated and talented a woman is, the more options she has. In the OLD days, women would settle for certain men because women didn't have jobs back then or the right to vote.

Now that they do, they can choose what man they want. This pretty much kills it for a certain group of men who may have money or good looks but their personalities or attitudes may totally repel women...And makes it especially tough for the men who don't have either of those things while also sporting terrible dispositions. Now all of a sudden, whereas in the OLD days a woman might've just given in and went steady with a guy like that, these days with career women, college women, etc... they simply don't have to. In most cases these women have their own money, something that allows them a certain type of freedom women generations ago didn't have.

The reason the U.S. in some areas is struggling mightily is because of generational changes. Today's upwardly mobile population wants to live in metro areas where they can experience night life, entertainment and hobbies and activities on a consistent basis. Some others want all of those things along with warmer weather in the winter months. That eliminates a large portion of the U.S.A. and pushes most of the population into just a handful of states. Which right now, are New York, California, Texas and Florida.

The school insisted it was an accident, but the family’s lawyer argued that the girl’s injury was because of bullying and requested $5.3 million in damages, per the Times.

Sandy Rougely said she noticed her daughter’s injuries following an end-of-year trip to Johnson City, Texas. “That just tore me into pieces,” she said in 2016. “It looked like somebody ripped my daughter’s neck off and stitched it back together.”

According to the lawsuit, the girl, who was identified in court documents as K.P., was bullied by her classmates prior to the trip and was standing by a swing that was hanging off a tree when she felt the rope around her neck.

Levi G. McCathern II told the Times that the girl’s race was the reason why the school did not notify K.P’s family.

“If it had been a little white girl they would have been on the phone with her mother within the hour,” he said on Thursday.

The school’s lawyer, David N. Deaconson, denied McCathern’s notion, saying the school acknowledged it messed up by not letting the family know about the incident and for not having a chaperone at the swing.

A Texas jury said the school has to pay $55,000 physical and mental pain the incident caused the girl, $10,000 for disfigurement caused during the incident and $3,000 in medical expenses.
