My channel is filled with videos that have been blurred in conversion and they still get a decent amount of views, but definitely as much as I feel I could get if it was higher quality. Does the quality of a video make all the difference when deciding whether or not to watch a video?
Anything under 720p, and i feel the urge to click back and find another video lol. It's just something about it, you could say i'm spoiled for wanting full HD content, but I think in 2019 it's relatively easy to find another video of the similar nature if the first wasn't in HD.
Quality does matter as you can watch and look at the details of the video and those channels that are always on going uploading then I do expect them to be high HD. I seen that are very bad but had no choice to watch it. Then allot of those police chase videos are under 720p
I don't think I've seen non-HD videos on YouTube in a long time, asides from those times when YT goes crazy and decides it to downscale a video to 240p when I keep telling it not to.
If there is a higher quality version of a short clip, I'll click that one before SD and make sure it's loaded in the highest possible definition. If there are no other options, meh.
If it's a movie or TV show, it has to be HD or I won't bother.
