My channel is filled with videos that have been blurred in conversion and they still get a decent amount of views, but definitely as much as I feel I could get if it was higher quality. Does the quality of a video make all the difference when deciding whether or not to watch a video?

For me, I definitely prefer at least 720 when watching a video on YouTube. Much lower than that actually bothers me a fair bit.

I think all of mine are 720 and I completely agree with you.

Anything under 720p, and i feel the urge to click back and find another video lol. It's just something about it, you could say i'm spoiled for wanting full HD content, but I think in 2019 it's relatively easy to find another video of the similar nature if the first wasn't in HD.

Doesn't matter to me, but different if the video was recorded with a potato.

Quality does matter as you can watch and look at the details of the video and those channels that are always on going uploading then I do expect them to be high HD. I seen that are very bad but had no choice to watch it. Then allot of those police chase videos are under 720p

I’m going to have to side with graphics on this one. I’ve always been the type that if it doesn’t look good, I’m not interested.

Ok, I was hoping I wasn't the only picky one. I should figure out how to transfer these videos without losing quality.

End of the day whatever quality you do, even 4k YouTube resets it to default anyway

Possibly. It depends what it is. If a music video, I don't care in the slightest.

I typically have YouTube set to 720p because I use theater mode on a 1080p display.

Annoyingly, a recent update increased the viewport, which has now made 720p look slightly pixelated. :/

I don't really care, I care about the information more than the picture quality...

I definitely enjoy my videos with nice quality, so I'm going to say that's a yes for me. :birder: :pics:

I care more about content, but I can't stand not being able to make things out. If I'm only watching clips though, I'll watch it in whatever quality.

I don't think I've seen non-HD videos on YouTube in a long time, asides from those times when YT goes crazy and decides it to downscale a video to 240p when I keep telling it not to.

Basically 1080P 60FPS is now the standard in YouTube. I would definitely prefer to watch a video in HD.

If there is a higher quality version of a short clip, I'll click that one before SD and make sure it's loaded in the highest possible definition. If there are no other options, meh.

If it's a movie or TV show, it has to be HD or I won't bother.
