I didn't understand the reference to Deep Thought and had to Google it, but I assume this '42' nonsense I've been hearing is from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Yeah, I think it's a work of fiction.

Also, Sci-Fi isn't my genre...If Buffy The Vampire Slayer doesn't count, I guess I might not have one.
