In all honesty, not very much. What might work in the US wouldn't be tolerated here.

That said, to some extent I agree with his net zero scepticism. If the UK regressed to a pre-industrial society, back to the horse and cart it would make zero difference to climate change.

I stopped going to the cinema 20 or more years ago. It's hard to immerse yourself in a film when people around you are on their mobiles. If I want to watch a film my brother-in-law has a 4K home cinema or I stream it at home.

I've sold a lot of items at auctions without attending and I regularly put in proxy/absentee bids on rare or vintage guitars but I don't recall actually attending more than a couple in my lifetime.

I did but the Government's response... after careful consideration... was that it had no plans to repeal the Online Safety Act which oddly enough is the same response it gives to every petition

Hmm - Maybe, had two one-elections near me and Refoum won, and another coming in November.. So many of them are stepping down, I believe it's less than 4 years, going to get worse before it gonna get better

A recent poll had Reform winning 445 seats, well past the 326 needed to form a government so there's no doubt they are currently flavour of the day. The problem is Labour hold too many seats to be affected by by-elections and defections.
