Aston Villa FC

Laursen is quality and is always a threat infront of goal, him and Lescott were the top scorers for defenders last season..

Yeah, I remember when we where in the process of signing Lescott, Villa put a cheeky bid in for him.

We did yes, but when you're a club managed by David O'Leary at the time slipping down the table it's not a very interesting sight. Thank god for Martin O'Neill is all i can say.

Yeah he has done a very good job with use so far and his tactics are spot on.

Will be a hard game though and it is not a good time to be playing Newcastle.

Now you've beat Arsenal and Agbonlahor and Curtis Davies have been given senior call ups. Seems Petrov is very influential.

Was Agbonlahor, Davies, Young and Barry 🙂

The win against Arsenal was a great one, battered them for 90 minutes they couldn't get near us. It's meant to be Arsenal who play the neat attacking football, they had a culture shock when we turned up and turned the tables, just proves once again our team is all about pace and making the oponent pay. Not many teams beat Arsenal on the break, infact not blowing my own trumpet i can't remember the last team that did. Bring on United!!!!

Petrov has turned the corner, finally settled in - he's been fantastic...

LOL at the trumpet comment. Was good to see Agbonlahor get called up for England, I thought he played really well. I can see a draw against Man U possibly- it'll be a tight game.

Watched you guys against Man U 🙂

Good team, Milner really played well. Man U were the better team in the first half but Aston Villa were definitely up to the challenge of Man U in the second half, probably the slightly better team. Vidic is a constant shirt tugger (he did that with Nasri against Arsenal as well) and I think he's a cheat. I was disappointed though with Young, his crosses weren't that good and he wasn't at his best, however that cross-shot was amazing! Agbonlahor played well though, good overall contribution. Also I thought Reo-Coker was excellent, especially bearing in mind he was a makeshift right back and it's not his natural position. Rooney seems to be off the magic form he had in september. Should have scored. Carrick played well and Ronaldo went down and stayed down very easily. Overall a good game and I think 0-0 is the right result. Also Laursen is a very solid centre back and definitely a good choice for captain.

Didn't AV tie Man U last weekend? I think that was the game I was watching.
