Thank you for being our valued customer. For your protection, as part of an
ongoing effort to prevent the unauthorized usage of your payment method(s),
the recent purchase activity on Account #37*****2 has been
reviewed by our verification office. As a result of this review, the referenced
customer account has been locked and the payment method has been suspended
from further use in our system. The charges made to this payment method have
been refunded and the related products have been cancelled. Please allow five
to ten business days for your financial institution to fully process the reimbursement.

These actions were taken as a precautionary measure to preserve the integrity
of your payment method(s). The processes implemented are not intended as an
accusation or derogatory claim. To request reinstatement, please log into your
account with us today. During the login process, to verify the payment method's
account holder has authorized usage of this payment method, our secure site will
prompt you to upload a viewable, scanned copy of the payment method account
holder's government-issued photo identification, such as a driver's license or passport.

Upon receipt of the requested documentation, we will re-evaluate the status of
your account.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these actions and thank you in
advance for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
Fraud Department

Pretty much, I wouldn't start asking them anything though as you will not get any replies back. You just need to find a new domain registrar.

How did you receive this? Email? A message when you logged in?

Looks that way, gent. Seems like you MIGHT be able to get it back, wouldn't count on it though.

Via e-mail. O man this really sucks big time. I didn't do anything wrong, if I did I didn't know and still now don't know.

If I log in my account is blocked and I get a message. Maybe I can solve it by showing proof I boughed it, I need my dad on this one. But he isn't home right now.

Ok, so you are 100% sure this is a legitimate GoDaddy email? This part seems very suspicious:

What seems suspicious about that part to you? What their saying is that they want you to provide proof that your the account holder and the payment was actually made by you and not anyone else (provided it is a legit email, of course).

So are you just going to give some vendor your passport, driver license and your photo? Perfect way for identity theft if you would ask me.

If their trusted such as GoDaddy then yes. Majority of companies do this, such as PayPal, eBay, etc. ive given my information and verification documentation to PayPal a while back.

Like I said, you do need to make sure that it is a legitimate email. Also, making sure your computer doesn't have malware before sending any information would be vital. 🙂

I have to agree with David, if this came via an external email then don't trust it, if it wants you to verify by clicking a link and giving banking details it's very dodgy, I would recommend going directly to GoDaddy's website and try logging in there to see if you have any messages and to check your account, don't ever use email links to log into anything

Its Godadddy the e-mail very sure of it as what they say is correct when I log in, my account is locked.

My dad is home and I hope he can soon help me. This sucks really big time as my site has now been down for an entire day.

I can change that to remove the re-direct but I just want this over with, get this back k.

Ouch. That's a bummer. I'd complain afterwards and claim you "lost valuable time" see what happens lol. Then again, i'm a cheap bastard and I would hope they give me something for free xD

I don't think it's a big deal from your part to theirs, something probably showed up that did not match up with something else. Especially if like the information you used for godaddy to the stuff you used on your dads card, would not match. When I did my sites I would have to use my moms card (Not anymore, as I can do it now).. but I would have to make sure everything matched up.

I don't know, but I am sure it can be fixed. They didn't say it was a bad thing, just that they wanted to keep both sides safe.

OMG, well I will just use Godaddy to buy domain and renuw it when the time comes, nothing more, so it doesn't effect me I hope. But holy crap mate, amazing.

I just did it and within 24 hours I get reply if my account may be open again. Then I will have to re-register my domain and do all the stuff over again.
