It's a lot more than that. It's telling a story. Think of it this way, you're from Iran and people of your race are portrayed as terrorists, kids at school are going to hold that against you and call you a "stupid Arab" (lolololol people are that dumb though), so its more than just that, it sways peoples opinions on matters.

What about black people. Where you play a confederate rebel and you round up all the black people you can find and get them to work on your plantation, while raping all the women. It'd be historically accurate to a degree.
