I have that same fear.XiaoStar said:I haven't, I'd like to if I could get over my fear of needles, though.
This is another fear of mine. I'm afraid if I gave blood that i would randomly pass out.Silvca said:I have only donated blood once. It was in high school and I passed out while going to my next class....That was a bad experience for me.
Well, at our school, that would be hard to do, because they don't give you a lot to eat.Silvca said:The trick is to wait a while and eat lots of food to rebuild strength. That is something I didn't do, Matthew. I think as long as your careful you'll be fine. 🙂
Yea, I'll probably do that. Plus, I think the Red Cross teams give out snacks.Silvca said:That kind of sucks...Maybe you can bring your own food with you then. That might work.
Immediately after the giving blood part, I had a great time. There were all these different drinks: water, orange juice, other juices, and I think iced tea? There were also a bunch of cookies and crackers. And I could basically stay there until I felt good. Some people abused that and were there for two hours...I think I was there for about 45 minutes? But I'm sure they'll bring something for sure.Matthew said:Yea, I'll probably do that. Plus, I think the Red Cross teams give out snacks.
Too bad you didn't get some pizza! That would have been so awesome... Considering I love pizza to death, I would be so disappointed if I didn't get any 🙁Silvca said:The blood drive I attended had lots of food. Bread, fruit, pizza, chips, juice, etc. It was loaded there, but people where getting greedy....I only had a bag of chips and juice. I didn't get pizza. :\
