Any ideas on how I could attract customers?

My hosting packages are really cheap!

I mean my hosting plans are really cheap!!!! But people have been asking me for free domains!!!! I don't know what to do as I can't afford to give people free domains just yet!!!! I'd go bust.

Any ideas?

For £1 a month you can get 1gb of storage and 3gb bandwidth.

For £2 a month you can get 3gb of storage and 5gb bandwidth.

For £3 a month you can get 5gb of storage and 10gb bandwidth.

How can that be too expensive?! Please post your suggestions below! I really dont want to have to close the business down.

Re: a new web host. fast & reliable servers.

I would consider offering more bandwidth because those plans would only work for forums which are fairly new and medium size forums would need more than 10GB of bandwidth a month and the fact that people may have more than 1 site hosted.

Well I really want to!!!

But I'm a hostgator reseller!!!! I only have 50g of storage and 500gb of bandwidth every month!!!! And that cost me $24.95/month!!!!

The servers are very reliable and have a 99.9% uptime guarantee!

But I don't have enough allowance to give that much! I wish I did!!!!

Any suggestions?! Coz I want this to work somehow. If possible! I'm open for any suggestions as long as they're reasonable.

1. I don't understand what a paint brush got anything to do with hosting and the latest technology in hosting.

2. The picture is not level with the other one and looks unprofessional and rushed.

Re: a new web host. fast & reliable servers.

I'm a web hosting company. Not an art gallery.

Will people at least post constructive comments. Or don't bother posting anything at all. 😉

I admit that my photoshop skills are far from the best.

Re: a new web host. fast & reliable servers.

Hey bud, add me on msn. Im heading to my girl's house right now. We will talk and I'll give you some advice. 🙂

[email protected] is my Windows Live Messenger email.

Re: a new web host. fast & reliable servers.

I've just shut down NotreHost.com

I couldn't cope with all the demands. Sorry guys. 🙁

I'm very new to web design. I'm an amateur. I would appreciate a little more support in the future.

I'm not trying to tell you to sign up to my services, of course not. That's for you to decide.

I am saying though that I would like more supportive comments in future, and less slaughtering ones. Instead of pointing out my mistakes, offer me helpful advice on how I could make things better. Posting all these nasty comments like some of you have...and I'll quote....

is really not going to help me become a better webmaster, is it?

I'm 18 years old, and yes! I am rubbish! Yes, my skills at Photoshop are minimal, in fact next to none! I don't deny it! But please don't post comments like that. Instead offer me helpful advice. Help me get better. 😉

Re: a new web host. fast & reliable servers.

Shutting down due to having a lot of commands at one time is a real rubbish reason to shut down. Shutting down like that only shows that you accept failure. You shouldn't have shut down as that only adds negative thoughts to your reputation here at FP. I told you to add me on MSN and I would have not a bit of a problem to help you put and explain how hosting business goes. I have been in this field for almost 2 years now and I would have helped you out. They were not commands, but only stating out the obvious in your website. Don't take comments so harshly next time as they are just people that are blunt and let you know the truth. Best of luck in your future.

Re: a new web host. fast & reliable servers.

Dude, I'd like to take that as a compliment.

But this isn't the first time. I've tried with various forums in the past and got the same bad comments.

Why can't people just offer helpful advice for a change. I'm not going to get any better at this without help. I simply am rubbish at running websites...I've kind of made that obvious now.

I've tried phpBB forums, vBulletin forums, and now I've even tried web hosting. I don't think that I actually WANT to carry on any more. People have evidently told me what they think of my "crap" so perhaps I should listen to them for a change and give up. 🙁

Sorry mate, but that's how it feels right now!!!

Re: a new web host. fast & reliable servers.

If you don't want people's blunt comments, don't request them to tell you. Ask for a review from the review team instead. You can only learn if you do it. Don't give up. "WeHostYour.Info" was my first host and it didn't work out for crap. I tried and tried and tried and nothing worked. I finally shut down after about 7 months or so of running it. This time, my host is doing great and I no longer worry about the bill I have to pay. Put the worrying behind you and do your best. Watch tutorials on how to do things and learn. You won't know how to do every little thing on the first day of running a host. People say that you shouldnt start a host without knowing how to do it. Well, you cant learn if you dont...

So I say don't give up if it's something you want to learn to do. Let me tell you, Its a great field to know how to do and I love every bit of it. It is stressful sometimes with all the demands but don't take them personally...

Thanks mate. 🙂 Now that was helpful. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I've just sent you a PM by the way. 😉

You will just let people look at you as a failure, if you stop you are just going to be "one of those kids, that started a host, and failed". You can do it, it will take time but keep trying. There's nothing wrong with trying your best then failing, because atleast you tried your best right? So keep trying dont give up. Good luck.

Thanks dude. 😉 I'm considering hosting with ChrisG2010 on one of his reseller plans. The $21.95 a month one. 😉

At least I get 120GB storage and 700GB transfer compared to the crappy HostGator offer of 50GB storage and 500GB transfer for $24.95 a month!

What are your opinions on this? Has anyone else hosted with ChrisG2010?

No offence, ChrisG2010, I just want to make sure that you won't ever shut down either coz I only want to host with you if you stay online for ever! 😉

I would actually consider this constructive criticism, not bashing your site. Even if you know sometimes you're right, it's better to take everything and improve.

Im going to be completely honest, I never go with new hosts, but you never know, a old host can shutdown anytime just as a new host can, so it all depends on your luck. But Chris knows what hes doing, and he is serious about it. And his host is doing pretty well so far. So go for whatever you think is the best choice for you.

Out all the new host being promoted here Chris's look the most promising. 🙂

Don't worry guys. I slept over it last night.

I'm going to give it another whirl. Any help will be much appreciated. 🙂

Thanks guys for all your supportive comments. 🙂

Yeah, I agree with Kino, in what way was I bashing your site?
I was simply pointing out that one of the images should be changed and the other re-positioned so it looks more professional.
