How do you think the Covid-19 will affect the movie theater business? Do you think movie theaters will ever go back to normal? Why or why not? What do you think they'll change?

Outdoor theaters are back to being the big thing now. I remember going to them when I was younger!
Movie theaters have been on the decline for years. Netflix and the other ten thousand streaming options have caused that. And I'm sure the subscription model that MoviePass introduced (and then everyone copied in their own way) really diminished their earnings as well.
I'd say that COVID has been the last straw for a lot of these companies. There aren't any new movies being released that are really worth going to see, since film production has been on hold everywhere for so long. I'm sure the big guns will make it (AMC/Regal), but you can goodbye to any of those smaller cinemas. It really does suck to see Regal shutting down again. My girlfriend and I went to see Tenant at a Regal in Nashville a few weeks ago.
