Is cPanel truly trying to push away all of their customers? This comes quickly after their other tremendous price hike which cost hosting companies thousands of dollars more a year.

....are they really needing the money? I mean I almost understood their pricing model for their last increase but seriously?

Maybe they lost too many customers last price hike.

Do they absolutely need it? No idea of their profit margins but it's ridiculous on how they have done their pricing structure. $50 for one server and then $0.30 per account after 100? Hell, some hosting accounts only cost about a dollar and some change per month already..

Direct Admin > CPanel!

It took a minute to get use to DA but once i figured it out I love it. Power to the Underdogs!

Really, they have gone up 🙁 means that hosting sites might put their prices up also right? That's the case mostly. Why they change the price it's not if they need the money, H|opefully that they won't go up again but at least gone down in costs lol

Honestly cPanel is great, but there are tons of cheaper ones and even free ones. This will probably make more people jump to DirectAdmin, or even learn the complex mess of Virtualmin out. The prices seem the same for the lower tiers, but clearly have gone up for the Resellers (which may be due to their panel being used even more than ever thanks for COVID and the big push to get things online).

It doesn't surprise me that the prices have gone up everything seems to go up eventually unfortunately it just nature and cost of things go up too so they have to cover there costs or they will be running at a loss

It looks like we will have to shell out a few more dollars to our webhosts for us to still enjoy tbia amazing software

There are others that are free to cheaper but Cpanel is the only one that I would use, Well, I like it and I'm used to it.

I switched my dedi server to DirectAdmin last year. It was weird at the beginning with DA, but now I really love my DA panel.

There is no surprise here. Everyone is using online services and every " e-device/service " is getting costly. I would be surprised if a monopoly like cPanel didn't take benefit from the market condition.

DirectAdmin is certainly a better value. $24 a year for a personal account is very reasonable. Using it is still like walking on the moon for me though.
