Those probably won't be prosecutable offenses, and if that person did get prosecuted it would be 2nd degree manslaughter.
Maybe, but the point is, I would have taken the life of an innocent person, which is the main argument of death penalty supporters. I know a real ton of them, so trust me, that's all they go on and on about.Kirisute Gomen said:Those probably won't be prosecutable offenses, and if that person did get prosecuted it would be 2nd degree manslaughter.
That's under US law. I'm just talking in general. It's just that so many people use the "any murder of an innocent person" attitude. I have a chinese friend who uses that argument even 😛 (they execute drug dealers there though so maybe he's not the best example)Kirisute Gomen said:No, since it would be either vehicular manslaughter, or some DWI/manslaughter charge that some states have. In order to get the death penalty, it has to be first degree murder.
What if the murderer is mentally ill? You can never 100% prove anyone of being guilty.FarSide said:If there is undeniable evidence that you intentionally killed someone, you are a murderer, and the earth should be rid of having to fear you.
No you can't. Admittance doesn't prove anything. What if he is being forced to say it on threat of death of his family or friends? What if the guy is just insane and mentally ill?Kirisute Gomen said:You can 100% prove somebody is a murderer if there is video of the murder. Or if they admit.
How many times does that happen though? I've heard of people who falsely confess to avoid lengthy sentences though.Irviding said:No you can't. Admittance doesn't prove anything. And very rarely is there going to be a video of the murder lol.
