Death penalty

Those probably won't be prosecutable offenses, and if that person did get prosecuted it would be 2nd degree manslaughter.

Maybe we're an angrier nation than Japan :/

Also, the drug activity in Japan is much lower than that of the USA
I wonder why...

Maybe, but the point is, I would have taken the life of an innocent person, which is the main argument of death penalty supporters. I know a real ton of them, so trust me, that's all they go on and on about.

What about drunk drivers? If I went out drinking and crashed into a family and killed 2 of them and 3 of them lived do I deserve to be put to death?

No, since it would be either vehicular manslaughter, or some DWI/manslaughter charge that some states have. In order to get the death penalty, it has to be first degree murder.

That's under US law. I'm just talking in general. It's just that so many people use the "any murder of an innocent person" attitude. I have a chinese friend who uses that argument even 😛 (they execute drug dealers there though so maybe he's not the best example)

If there is undeniable evidence that you intentionally killed someone, you are a murderer, and the earth should be rid of having to fear you.

What if the murderer is mentally ill? You can never 100% prove anyone of being guilty.

Also, what if I am a cop who shot a robber? That's intentional.

You can 100% prove somebody is a murderer if there is video of the murder. Or if they admit.

No you can't. Admittance doesn't prove anything. What if he is being forced to say it on threat of death of his family or friends? What if the guy is just insane and mentally ill?

And very rarely is there going to be a video of the murder lol.

Why does justice have to be served by doing back to then what they've done. That eye-for-an-eye principle is archaic. We need to draw a line between justice and revenge.

How many times does that happen though? I've heard of people who falsely confess to avoid lengthy sentences though.

I keep video of all my murders  You guys don't??

I'm not a murderer for those who take stuff seriously.

Well that's the point. We don't know how often that stuff happens. No one does. That's why having a death penalty is a bad idea because stuff like that could happen.
