Re: Demotion Forums - Why the Classic Services No Longer Tic
Who are you to judge other forums with low post counts if your forum Runeknow only has 4,000 itself?
I do not pretend to be a professional reviewer of forums.
I've seen many of your rants but this one is just ridiculous. I say someone has the freedom to create whatever forum he or she likes
By that same logic I have the right to create any thread I like within the rules of this forum. You are speaking very similarly of this thread as I am of these promotion forums. I also don't give a <self censored> what forums people make, I am creating an analysis of the most common services they use.
If you think a forum is a "clone" of FP and that the services won't help, then don't join it!
I don't intend do, but why does that strip my rights to analyse them?
It's better to give some actual feedback than to bash others with lame topics such as this one.
That's what I'm doing. The literal interperatation of "Feedback" would be a response. A "feed" "back". Example: "The feedback from the hurricane was horrible". "Constructive feedback" is a feed back which helps to construct or improve. I have done this by elaborating why existing things do not work and suffixing my explanation with a call to improve this standard by creating new services.
Creating one topic and arguing against other members won't change a damn thing.
Not arguing against what you believe wrong won';t change a damn thing. Your post, by your logic, won't change a damn thing as well.
And besides, you may not realize it but starting crappy forums has a good side. All sane webmasters have made at least one mistake when administrating a forum..
Not all webmasters have produced free forums on subdomains, though. Many professional webmasters were already adults when Al Gore invented the internet.
The people which keep society on the march of progress. If there was no criticism, there'd be no improvement.
o achieve something great you always have an obstacle blocking your path.
Of course. But why is it wrong to tell people that they are trying to climb a wall with a rubber chicken?
By the way, your disclaimer doesn't cover up anything. You say you are only blaming promotion forums in general... Well FP is a promotion forum.
I ask that some promotion forums improve from their poor standards. Thus, some forums which do not already have low standards are not affected by my request. The disclaimer is asking people to look at the bigger picture and not this forum alone. I posted this in the managing your forum section, not community matters. Therefore, this thread is not meant to be associated with forumpromotion.net.
