Do you hand wash dishes?

When I'm at my parents house there is a dishwasher but I don't have one at my place so I wash by hand.

The dishwasher is not in fashion in this part of the planet. The only users of dishwashers that I know are fast food outlets. I am fortunate to have 2 housemaids at home so I am practically free from that chore. But in the days of yore, I did the dishwashing at home.

Hand wash things that I need immediately or won't get washed in the dishwasher (pots and stuff)

I prefer using the dish washer unless there's stuff dried onto the plates, which I'll clean off by hand before putting it in

I have hand washed dishes since I was a kid and still do as an adult. I think it builds character. Also - I saved space at my place for far more important appliances besides a dishwasher. Like a Washer and Dryer. Dishes can be done by hand - clothes cannot. Even though my building has a laundry room - I simply do not want to be relegated to doing my laundry on someone else's time.
