Do you like Discord?

I prefer Discord to other chat apps. As a freelance writer, talking to my clients and prospective clients on Discord is better than on WhatsApp, for example.

It's okay, although I mostly just use smaller servers and DMs.

I can't stand larger servers... they're just too fast-paced for me.

Not really. I find it too complicated. I do have an account, because it's easier for me to get ahold one of the poker site owners I'm partnered with on Discord.

I use it sometimes but not very often because jumping into a conversation mid-way through is confusing.

I don't like it, but I don't hate it either.

My primary chat app is Guilded. It's an alternative to Discord with no paywalls for basic features such as emotes.

Yea, I run a partnered Guilded as the "live chat" part of my community, and forum for the 'static' conversations, mostly.
That's a good mixture. I always dislike the live chat part when running a community, but when you strike that right balance it's pretty great!

Yep. Allows both types to happen, related but separate, IMO.

Absolutely, it's just a case of making sure the live chat doesn't take away from the discussions within the forum. It's a hard balance to strike, but an important one.

Discord is quick to navigate and easy to work with. I use it to keep up with communities that use it on the side.

Nor like nor dislike. It's very heavy for my old Toshiba Sat, purchased in 2013 (it suffers too much and freezes). But I need it cause one of my main online jobs.

I only joined Discord because of crypto. I decided to delete it right away because I find it quite complicated to use.
