Do you lock your doors?

Back then, 23 years ago, people didn't go to the bank to put their money on accounts so they saved their money in safes. So they took my grandma's safe and some jewellery.

Thankfully she had money under her bed too so she didn't lose it all. They were both home as well, which was more frightening.

While the community I live in is pretty safe, I still always lock my doors. It's just a habit at this point when I leave my house.

Where I live now I do indeed lock my doors. (Actually the second I get home I turn and relock the door behind me. Anyone who needs to get in already has a key...)

When I was staying at home with my parents I rarely ever locked the door because we had dogs. (One of whom was very vocal so good luck getting in the house without being heard and greeted. I came home early from work one morning and the door had been locked, which itself was unusual, so I unlocked it and the vocal dog met me at the door... growling until I turned the light on and said it's name. Then it instantly turned friendly once it realised who I was. A stranger though would not have such luck, they would very likely be attacked.)

I've never done it much in my life. The only time I ever did was in college when I was in a pretty ghetto neighborhood. My backdoor doesn't even have a lock on it - it'll actually swing open if the wind blows too hard, then I have to bungee cord it shut so it doesn't leave the door wide open. I live in an area where no one ever is, and my dog would tear the crap out of anyone who was stupid enough to come on my porch.

When I was little someone tried to kick our front door open so yes, I keep the doors locked. Guns and dogs are also helpful. I have both. XD

Sometimes. It doesn't matter. If someone wants to break it they will. A lock won't stop them.
