For me running my forum is like therapy.. I like to build websites and communities. If they are a success then thats just an added bonus.
I did like running a forum but I just don’t have time anymore. A typical day for me consists of working for 9 hours, then an hour at the gym, then walking my dogs for an hour or two, then dinner with the fam, then unwinding with TV shows or a movie with them until bedtime. Weekends I like to catch up on sleep and maybe go do fun things with my peeps or just catch up on housework/yardwork.
I was constantly feeling guilty for not being around enough so I finally sold my forum. Now that the weight has been lifted off my shoulders, I can post there with no expectations or duties (which I prefer). I still like forums so I’ll probably always float around different boards to chat when I can but I think my days of being an owner (or being staff) are over.

To be fair I got turned off from my last forum due to drama and losing a really good friend due to nonsense that happened.
I won't allow any drama to happen on this one or I'll be using the ban button.
But most likely forum number 23,000 😛

I wouldn't want to build a new forum ever again. I'm admin on 3 forums and that's enough work for me, and I'm finding that I have less and less time to sign up on other forums now. All that could change in the future, but that's where I'm at now.
In order words it's not for sale 😛 but I swear $500 USD would be tempting. That's somewhere around $1000 NZD.
