I withdraw $100 biweekly and I almost treat it like play money as I don't closely track what I spend it on. It's usually used to cover my share or donate/lend to others without expectations of it being returned or tips for dining out or services rendered.

Do you still use cash?

We prefer to use cash. Only use debit cards online & even then, we are picky at where we buy from. Credit cards are too easy to rack up.

I still have and use crash, however not as much as I used to. I tend to buy more online than offline. I still go to the ATM twice a month to withdraw cash

I don't carry cash ever. I use a credit card whenever possible. I try my best to take advantage of the different offers that credit card companies have, whether it's 2% back or whatever.

Cash? What's that? LOL

My husband gives me $20 when I tell him I'm low on cash and it takes me months to spend it. We usually use a credit card when we go out because we get really good rewards. There are some restaurants now that only take cash so I do carry an envelope of $25 in my purse for emergency money that I always forget is there.

Rarely, I mainly use my debit card, I know my limits and I know my card's limits and I'm way past the age to do stupid things with money anyway. Will never have a credit card again - been there, done that and learned from my mistakes. Of course I was a lot younger back then, now I'm just old and more experienced/wise (Hopefully).

The only time I use cash is when somewhere like a parking lot only takes physical cash. I also take a little to things like conventions in the event a vendor lacks a card reader, but those have become more common in recent years to the point cash is more of a backup for when the card readers fail to work.

I avoid using cash, I ask my employer and client to send payment directly to bank account or pay via paypal or crypto. While paying, I use mobile banking app and QR payment, or mobile wallets.

Ever since the pandemic I much prefer now to only take money out when I really need it such as for my kids if they need money for school or if something needs paying for and it's the case only. Other than that I usually tend to not bother having cash on hand and always use my debit card if I can.

I use cash when I pay for things like food, for larger items or physical goods, I use my card so I have another form of proof of purchase.

Yes, I use cash for small transactions like buying coffee or snacks. But for larger purchases, I prefer to use my credit card for the rewards and convenience.

Yes, of course. I make use of cash all day. There have been a time I stopped paying with cash and it seems difficult for the business people, so I went back in using cash.

We have no way of obtaining cash in our area. All the banks are long gone and there are no cash machines. On top of that the bank that holds my current account has no physical presence and the only way to pay a bill is via an online transfer.

That's so crazy!!

A lot of shops/restaurants where I live started charging to use credit cards, so we're actually going back to using cash again.

I don't carry cash with me, unless I'm at a flea market or a garage sale. I prefer to use my debit card for purchases, and if I do get cash as a gift I deposit the money into my bank account.

I keep cash on me only for the skating rink because while they do take card, they charge a fee if you're using a card, so I'd rather just avoid that and use cash. We have one around here that does card only and doesn't charge a fee, but I don't go there too often. I normally just take out $40 at a time, since that's the max I can take out at work when I make a purchase, and that usually gets me through a week or two, depending on how often I'm going. I use my credit card for my regular purchases and just treat it like a debit card in that I don't spend more than I actually have in the bank.
