I created my new site called [edit] based on a customized WordPress theme.

This is my first WordPress site, and I am quite excited about it because I wanted to build a WordPress site for a long time.
I found WordPress to be both robust and flexible, with a lot of useful plugins and themes.
There is also a huge community of developers that helped me in my first steps.

Do you also like WordPress?
Do you prefer it as a CMS or do you prefer others like Joomla or Drupal?
what are the advantages and disadvantages of WordPress in your opinion?

I use Wordpress for a lot of projects and it's the only CMS, other than the forum software I use, that I like. The advantages of Wordpress range from SEO, social networking, and arranging the content itself. The disadvantages are simple. If you want a good theme you have to pay for it.

I do for my forum's website. It's very easy to use and you don't have to mess around with much coding- but if you do, there are many screencasts and written tutorials online for it. I haven't delved too deep into it as I hadn't needed to, I keep the site pretty simple.

While I like using WordPress for some of my sites, I haven't considered using it for static pages, since I can get the same feeling without having to mess up coding in the edit page.

Sadly no, I've used others like Joomla before I've used WordPress (to me it's easier to make Joomla into a CMS than it is to make WordPress into a CMS).

I use WordPress for all by websites and blogs. Easy to handle and good features to boost my website optimization.

I used Joomla before also, but WordPress is much easier to learn and work...

I only used WordPress for my personal blogs, which reminds me I need to start writing again, but I do like the websites that use WordPress.

I use WordPress for all my websites, simply because it is easy to use and easy to customize. There are many beautiful themes - good for SEO too and full plugin functionality.

Yes, I used Wordpress, It is one of the best CMS for creating websites, Wordpress too provides mobile responsive themes, and templates for making websites/blogs/and forums.

I use Wordpress on all mine and my clients sites except for one that uses Joomla as they made a special request for it plus the theme they wanted looked better on Joomla than Wordpress (They had both versions)

I’ve used WordPress for any sites that have needed a CMS. Some of them have been very complex websites with the of using the multisite feature, they needed to share content and overriding content on other sites. This needed to be very bespoke to the client, I could of started a website from scratch but I still think that WordPress was the right system to use. The advances you get from the helper functions, actions and filters and easy to use CMS just makes it the perfect solution for any site that needs a CMS. I’ve also explored the option of creating more complex sites in Drupal, Umbraco and Sitecore, but they haven’t been as easy to use as WordPress is. What I’m trying to say is just because a site is complex doesn’t mean you should discard WordPress.

Yes! I use wordpress for all my site. I think it's the best platforms with many plugins

I use Wordpress on one of my sites...it's helping me out on SEO and whatnot.

i like wordpress i have some blogs. but i think alot of the posting page could be better, its so obviously awkward in the text area. regular html doesnt work for some things, its always different one thing will work on one blog but it wont on another. and what is with every fricken plugin being updated every week
