I heard that Twitter catered more to the younger crowd, so in certain niches that would be an advantage. Any confirmation?

In Facebook Paid marketing also effective to generate business.

It seems like Twitter would also have paid options. I wonder why not.

Facebook algorythms are BS to be honest. I stopped focusing on the facebook page after learning that a very small percentage of our followers actually get new messages in their feed. We haveclose to 500 followers on FB. Twitter is way better that way, especially if you actually spend some time and communicate with your followers.

Basically, if you're a large company and can afford to spend A LOT of money, FB is awesome, but it does not help the small company/business/website anymore.

If you ask me, I'd choose Twitter. I've had better luck with Twitter when it comes to getting more traffic on my forum.

I've been using twitter more but i use both platforms, I even use other social networking sites too like pinterest(Not as often though due to its complications)

Twitter for me has slowed down regards they have changed allot of things and I'm no longer that big on it. Meaning 3k followers to 600

I don't know much about Twitter but lately Iv'e been trying to learn. Anyway, the upside to it is that it's totally free as far as I know - not like Facebook. Basically, you have to simply follow others, they follow you, and if your content is good enough, it gets shared quite a bit.

OK, well, on third party sites you can pay to get a buzz, I mean people to share your content, but maybe that's not needed as much as it seems - depending on your situation.

From an organic perspective, I'd personally say my stuff performs better on Twitter than on Facebook. I do try and cater the content on a network by network basis but even so Facebook just doesn't seem to perform as well from an engagement perspective. Although when we placed an ad recently that gave us a large increase in reach for about a week or two after which was well received so I'll probably be doing some further testing in that arena to see if a small but consistent ad spend would help us grow. All in the fun of learning I suppose! 🙂

This two platforms are amazing but for me Facebook works more effectively comparing to twitter.

Well, both are equally effective but I have my doubts and reservations when if anyone tells me they will just work organically on the platform. All I know, you need to spend money to get real results there.someone correct me if I am wrong.

Both Twitter and facebook are good medium for promotion but my vote goes to Facebook. It is more effective in generating leads. But firstly you need to have large number of followers in both social media giants then only you can succeed in successful promotions.

Both are ineffective without paying and when paying - I guess they're both equally effective - if used correctly.

Facebook traffic can be useful for adsense if you know where to promote like in page or group.
