Then which one is the least slow?
Really all depends, how the admin has the server setup/etc, which accelerator he/she is using, what kind of server, nginx, lighttpd/etc..
A custom built software, if coded correctly, will be faster then any other software that's on the "market",
I could say the least slowest would be vbulletin, but if you go to offtopic.com and browse there forums, it's insanely fast for vbulletin.
I could say IPB 3.2++ is insanely slow, but there is some ipb 3.2 sites that are pretty fast.
Fastest will ofcourse be punbb or fluxbb, or small lightweight ones. It's really all a matter of opinion because if I say if this software is slow, I can also back up it up by showing a site that is running that software that is fast. (If you think I was wrong)
Some people say phpbb3 is really slow also, but there is alot of phpbb3 sites that are insanely fast too... so see where I am going? Really just depends
Partially because of these reasons is why I made my own, sick of seeing trash forum softwares that people have to download/use when they don't even use half of the features. IPB/vbulletin/xenforo, extremely hard on the server, no green footprint at all, extremely bloated with features most people wont even use, cost 100$+... It's not only a scam, it's unethical. I could go out and make the same thing and sell it NP, but no they want me to spend hours reading tutorials and trying to figure out how the AdminCP works first, instead of actually learning PHP/MYSQL. Those companies are a scam and I'd stay far away from them. In other words, you'll end up reading tutorials and figuring out how there admin CP system works
FIRST before even landing a finger on some PHP/MYSQL code.
