Favorite President

How's about FDR?

But seriously...you can't compare presidents. There were always different situations. Obama has a recession to (try to) deal with, whereas Lincoln had to deal with a Civil War.

Honestly agent you keep saying all these brash statements about obama and obamacare and obama this and that but you've yet to justify any of it. I'm not saying you're wrong or anything just want to hear your reasoning.
 
He just seems like more of a public rep than anything else. The healthcare plan wasn't great, but he was rushed and pressured. I would have been happy with him coming out and saying "F off, this requires more than five minutes."

He tries, but he doesn't deliver on his promises and he's just full of words. I'm not saying he hasn't done anything, but nothing that makes me think he is doing a great job.

How is naming your favorite President not a political issue?? Obama is the president and we had a discussion on whether or not he is a good President.

If I come in here and say

"Richard Nixon is my favorite President"

Is it not allowed for someone to say back "how could he be your favorite President, do you not know what watergate is?"

Although Nixon was a scummy dude, he did get talks with China (USA's second largest trade partner, and largest importer) started.

This isn't the debate section, that's why. I don't need flame wars starting here. Everyone has their own opinions about heads of state. Maybe I liked Nixon? By you saying "do you know what watergate is," you think that's going to sway his/her opinion of liking Nixon? No it's not. He/she is still going to like Nixon.
 
Why not give reasoning though? Sure, this isn't in the debate section, but just naming presidents and leaders is pointless.
For example, at this current moment, my favorite head of state is Kim il Sung. By just saying this, one could infer that:
a) I'm a totalitarian communist
b) I'm a fan of poor technology
c) I live in North Korea
d) The Kim family has the greatest hairstyles ever
e) Kim il Sung has a cult of personality extending outside of an isolated country
f) I am preparing to celebrate what would have been Kim il Sung's 99th birthday.

When in reality, it is a combination of d, e, and f. If it really was d, however, I see no reason why OBAMA shouldn't be able to say "I'm not so sure about the hairstyle. I'm quite sure Grover Cleavland had better hair." :/

Seems like everybody that I know is having a crappy day, thus this makes my day crappy...
Regardless tomorrow is less than 2 hours away, and it can only be better 😀

Well Obama, I'm going to keep my reasons for liking a person the same. I like Abe Lincoln because of his hat and awesome name so I must say, Woodrow Wilson has a cool name too.
