Internet Explorer is the most used Internet browser, then Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari. I have yet seen a site which displays otherwise (maybe Safari and Opera have interchanged, but it's minimal).Joel said:Alright, its rather obvious that Firefox and Google Chrome is the top 2 most used browsers on the internet. So which one is more famous? Its Firefox right?

Of what evidence can you supply to negate the trends provided here? Although I don't usually refer to Wikipedia, the trend that IE is in front of FF is fairly consistent. FF has surpassed IE in some countries but on a total, global scale, IE is still in front. No one here is living in 2005.Solidus said:You guys are still living in 2005. Firefox is by far the most used browser, unfortunately. Then it's Internet Explorer, with Chrome just behind.
Opera needs recognition.
Like I said in my first post, W3Schools is a terrible example. What general web user is going to go to W3Schools? W3Schools is for web developers and coders, not your average Internet user, so it's statistics are not accurate. StatCounter reports more IE users than FF. Likewise with W3Schools, Cnet is aimed at technology users so it's not considering the whole Internet. It's targeted at a specific niche. You've got to provide better examples.Solidus said:W3schools, Statcounter, Cnet. It's all over the web.
Not to mention a huge amount of the IE ''users'' are using it because they don't know an alternative exists. AND you have to first use IE to download another browser, so that's another + for IE.
