First Design in few months

I like the idea, although I have some comments:
the black on the main sideways stripe background is too dark
you should have more of the blue going on in the site, it feels like a random color out of all the grays in there.
also it's a bit plain.

Not bad though

I don't even think that is a design
That is just a structure of html elements aligned with each other and that is it
The background which had the only chance of being the design is so frustrating

I can finish that in 20 minutes. I don't call it a design without working for at least 7 days on it.
That is just a sketch, really awful and offensive for those who do design.
How can you call that design when you didn't even bother to open Photoshop or Illustrator?
Or at least copy others work and make a resemblance just for the case of studying.

Keep in mind that this is my third full website design.
Are you kidding bro? Where is the footer? What about colors? Graveyard website?

BUT, that is way better than my first design in my life, so good job and don't mind what I say since that is in my mood, you know 🙂

Opening a graphical editing program isn't a prerequisite of design. In fact, the industry is trending towards design done in the browser as opposed to in Photoshop. The amount of time spent doing it is equally irrelevant. I'd agree, though, that the background doesn't really mesh well with the foreground.

Where did you hear that the industry is trending towards design done in the browser?
Can I have a link pls?

Didn't know that, but I know that they try to be as much css as possible. I do that too, but I mean when he didn't even bother using the software, imagine with those colors and stuff how well he knows CSS

I know a bit of css and html. I was using dreamweaver but I was struggling to make the colors right. I don't know if its a problem with dreamweaver but, it makes a different shade of a color I pick but looks different in firefox.

I was watching a tutorial and it said:
I don't know why people use Dreamweaver when there is Fireworks for web development. I don't know why people use Photoshop when there is Illustrator for graphics in web design.

If you are going to do something good, just don't use any software. If you need software, use Fireworks, not Dreamweaver. It ruined my work once and I don't want to see it again.

Hmm, I've never actually heard of using Fireworks. Thanks, I'll try it out.

If you ask me, I would never use that too (and I never did)
Even though I have taken some online courses for free and didn't seem so great. If you just want it done use softwares, but if you want reliability doing every single piece yourself is the way to go. I only use Illustrator for very specific stuff, like logo design or banners.

Illustrator is the best software for web design I have ever used.
