Gifs hosted on a 3rd party website. If that website ever goes offline you’ll have thousands of broken images on your forum. I worry about that on mine but it is what it is. *shrugs*

500? WOW! That is crazy. lol Do they get used a lot?

Drew them by hand one by one, even started working on the Extended Smiley set.

I don't think I've opened a default smiley menu for a good few years! I typically just use default keyboard emojis when I'm on my phone or desktop. I do get nostalgia looking back at some smilies though

I just use the classic keyboard typo quick response then using the drop down

I agree, we have a few users here that use GIFs now and then.

I use them occasionally to express my actual intention (whenever I am unable to express my mood with the text)

I enjoy custom ones added still. I remember when they were made for each theme - but then when we were able to use multiple themes we had to find one that would mesh well with all the themes for the most part. I LOVED them.

I miss this emoji so bad!

I will admit that I do still use forum smilies once in a while but I feel because I tend to do a lot of writing professionally, using smilies or emotes is something I am not in the habit of doing. I usually use them if I remember when I am not writing professionally.

It's also a habit to use fast typo for smiles

I'm using some Pokemon smilies I found on DeviantART and they're bretty gud. Admittedly people don't use them a huge amount, but they're used enough that their existence is justified.
Also per @Xyphien's recommendation I got some custom reactions made and my members seem to love them! (They're really cute so I can see why)
