I agree with Yukon. If the cost is worth it, upgrade to vB.
phpBB is very simple, organized, and it's easy to find everything. It's got a nice layout (I'm not talking about the template), and I'm sure most people here are very used to phpBB3.YukonMaster said:DSi said:Noo!!! The phpBB is one of the best things about FP, don't change!
What do you like specifically about PHPBB?
Don't you mean downgrade to vB??netsavy006 said:I agree with Yukon. If the cost is worth it, upgrade to vB.

VB and IPB are very similar to each other and to phpBB3 if you look closely. The UCP is not far of the one here just with a few more options. phpbb being simple is the problem. By being simple it lacks alot of features that would make everyones life alot easier. For me and efc it will give us more control and we can offer more to our members and for all the staff here it will make their life easy as you always have to go through loads of confirmation screens to move or lock a topic and i know that for a fact i waste alot of time reply to topics with the same answer over and over again and it all takes time. From a users point of view it has more features that they can use if they want plus there is alot of benifits for them like post editors and lots more options.phpBB is very simple, organized, and it's easy to find everything.

It is not all about features... It is more about what users feel comfortable using. .
