Well the fact is they are back. Who ever comes back 100% without anything missing at all is a champ.

Keep dreaming (take it as a joke). This is forumotion we're talking about. Strict totalitarianism. No backups whatsoever, even if you are staff at the "support forum", when still, are not real employees. The main employees are at the French support forum.

You can't take a backup and leave. They won't let you, however, with a good Python script, you can make ends meet, somehow.

lol fair enough then. Python? :O Mine are in vb.net, vb06, C, C++ and php... lol.

The converter scripts always use Python; never VB or C/C++ etc.

And not forumotion. They really get you when you sign up. If it develops - you have to stay with them. They can be pricey. Those idiots

You can get a converter. Someone I know has successfully converted their forum from Forumotion to MyBB; the only issue being loss passwords. 🙂

Indeed, ForuMansion is back up and running. However, we did lose a whole lot of topics and posts while the second back-up was in process. But it doesn't matter, ForuMotion can still clean it up and retrieve everything back.

What's ironic is that Tayne helped Oliver destroy my forum, but then he suddenly felt bad for me and decided to help get it back up. Although Tayne is a phisher like Oliver, he still can be a good guy. Even Oliver is a great little kid to talk to on instant messenger, but he's not a good person when it comes down to revenge.

I suggest that everyone who owns a Hotmail or Yahoo! email address to go ahead and change it, considering that's how Oliver was able to hack into one of ForuMansion's admin's account. Not only that, but for everyone who uses ForuMotion and their image hosting, Servimg, I suggest that you use a different image host because it's just as well as easy to get to as it is to Hotmail.

I'm not quite sure if it's necessary for ForuMansion to move to a different host, but I will definitely look into it. ForuMotion's security isn't all that crappy as what you guys think it is. Tayne told me that it was Hotmail's fault. Therefore, I recommend that any Hotmail accounts should be made personal, and you use another email address on forums and public websites.
