it's a custom one from Christian Bullock.

The theme is a custom theme that was developed by Christian Bullock about 2 years ago. It's called FPX.

Kino answered for the default one. There is also another skin called FP1 🙂

It looks just like any other phpbb forum to me. Phpbb kind of has its own look to it.

It is definetly PHPBB mate. I know when I first joined up here in 2008l, and I wondered what software this was myself, then I looked at the footer and that told me all I need to know. This site is so well customized, anyone who's not familiar with PHPBB could easily get confused by it.

It looks just like any other phpbb forum to me. Phpbb kind of has its own look to it.

Except this forum has moved the poster info to the left instead of the right, which is default.

I never need to check the bottom on any software because I can always tell what is being used.
