FP Software

There are lots of easy to recognize software out there. Sometimes just by looking at the board index and the layout of it you can tell almost instantly what softwares being used. Although sometimes if it's a totally customed style that's laid out in a certain way, then I can understand that software not being recognizable. An example being Vbulletin. There are some sites I've joined up with before where the style is so unrecognizable, it's enough to make you wonder what the software is the administrator is using. This can also be a confusion if you haven't joined up with too many forums on that given software.

I'm pretty sure you're being sarcastic with this one. I use PHPBB for my forum and I have joined other forums with the same software. Also, having been foruming since 2007, I can definetly tell the difference in most cases. As for since when did we use PHPBB, I'm sure most of us have used it since the days of 2.0.x, and I'm sure that most of us are also learned in 3.0.x as well.
