People blame bush too much. They seem to fail to realize that OBAMA is in power now, and everything is his fault now, whether he actually caused it or did a mediocre job of stopping it. While they did spend a bit much back then, a lot of that spending was to PROTECT us. That is the real job of government. Protecting us from our enemies should come before "social justice" and other such welfare projects.

Most of you see bush through the liberal glasses of "omg everyone's a warmonger", but in fact, a majority of you were probably less than 8 years old when bush was elected. Thus, you only rely on the hard left media who all have an agenda to drag. In reality, there is another side to the story, one that your "impartial" liberal media (msnbc / abc / so on) is not willing to convey. Fox news is actually closer to the majority of Americans: while fox news is a bit further right of center than abc, one may argue, america is also right/centrist.

I believe it is called tax cuts without the quotes though.

What has Obama done that's conservative? He is further to the left than you are. Here is what he has done, off the top of my head, that is leftist:

1. He is internationalist. He apologizes for everything america has done and for our existence.
2. Health care, crap & tax, and a lot of his legislation redistributes the wealth.
3. He has increased the size of government considerably.
4. He wants to appoint hard left judges.
5. He was buddies with Reverend Jerimiah Wright, Bill Aryers.
6. He and his freinds subscribe to Saul Alinski "Rules for Radicals" style tactics, which includes demonetization of tea partyists as racists and corrupting the minds of all of y'all through "keep on lying and it will be true" style campaign tactics.

American conservatism focuses on the principles of the constitution and our founding fathers. Barrack Hussain Obama has proposed legislation which takes power away from the people and gives it to the federal government. the constitution gives powers to the government and the rest to the states and people. He exercises Chicago style politics in bribing people like Sestak.

Again, take off your TEAM OBAMA jersey and actually listen to the people who disagrees with the president. People Like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.

Stop blaming one person. Sure, blame Bush, but he, alone, didn't take this great nation to war, congress did. Maybe some of you forgot in social studies, but the president can not declare war on another nation without the consent of congress, which must pass a 2/3 majority vote. Blame congress and Bush. Or... stop playing the blame game and move on. The mess we're in today was caused by us, we the people, because we elect officials into office, so let's put our big boy pants on and take responsibility. Argue about separation of powers all day, but that doesn't change anything.

What's best for our country and what's best for our economy are two separate equations. Which one do you prioritize? That's an extremely difficult situation to be in, and I honestly feel Bush did a great job under intense pressure. No one wants to go to war, but sometimes it's something you have to do.

Barack Obama is a moderate conservative. He doesn't even support gay marriage. He also hasn't done anything that even resembles socialism. A true libertarian leftist will tell you that Barack Obama is nothing of the sort.

Do you know what socialism is? His health care reform IS socialism. Socialism = increasing the size and power of the government and redistribution of the wealth.

1- Would vote. Only thing I'm conservative about is... well, nothing.

2- Wouldn't make a good impression, but as long as I ain't stealing candy bars, smoking cigars, etc., it doesn't matter.

Because he's the closest we've had to a true liberal as we've had in a while. His rating on the liberal scale (to a libertarian)? .000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001.

And the reason he's not a libertarian is because he's authoritarian. Many political compasses have authoritarianism and socialism ranked. He is far far away from the liberals on the issue of authoritarianism.

Cosmic, we never stated that Obama is liberal. He's still in the authoritarian right camp. What we're saying is that out of the candidates that had a shot at winning the election, Obama was the closest to being a true liberal. Really, the only truly liberal politician in the United States who ever gets any votes at all is Ralph Nader.
