Have you ever been offered a price for your forum?

Someone just offered today $20 for a forum I just bought 2days ago. It is still new and I bought it cheaper than $20 but I declined.

it never seemed to be worth it, since even at a low ball park figure for just the post and topic count, they never seemed to want to offer enough for just that alone.

The first figure was too low, the others I was negotiating with lost interest before a price could be agreed.

I've been offered three thousand quid for an old forum of mine two years ago, but the deal didn't go through. For one, the time I poured into the forum is undoubtedly worth more than the price they gave me and I thought it'd be better to pass the throne to someone who genuinely wants to continue the forum, and not abuse my current user base for monetisation. Ultimately, the trust members have placed on me — that is to keep all my interest towards the betterment of the community — is essentially priceless.

I was offered $200 for just the domain before. The website I was being offered for no longer exists.

I wouldn't sell any of my forums, so I usually ignore any price offers.
